Brian Hewitt, Founder College Prep Coaches

Brian is the Founder of College Prep Coaches college admissions counseling.  Brian holds an MS degree in counseling and has over 25 years of experience in education as a teacher, athletic coach at the college and high school level and as a high school counselor.  He has mentored hundreds of high school students through the college admissions process with great success.  Brian’s experience as a college baseball coach has provided him with unique insights into the admissions process for student athletes.  Brian was recently recognized by Stanford University for dedication as an educator and mentor who has contributed to the future of his students, Stanford University and the community.

With his exceptional background in counseling and education, Brian is able to provide valuable guidance to students and families on their college admissions journey.  He is very personable and relates well with students to build rapport and trust.  

 

 

  

 

 

Betsy Rogers, College Coach

Betsy is a nationally recognized writer and college essay expert.  Betsy holds a Masters in Education from UC Davis.  She has been an essay evaluator for the Regents Scholarship Committee at UC Davis for four years.  Each year she coaches dozens of students through the college essay process.  Betsy has guided seniors through the multi-week process of visioning, reflecting, and editing that is critical to crafting exceptional essays and personal statements. With Betsy’s expertise and advice, students learn to write stronger, more unique pieces and come away more confident and assured in their college search process overall. She is truly passionate about helping students write original, honest, and expressive essays that get the attention of admission committees.  Betsy is currently a Senior Writer for UC Davis and  also works as an Academic Writing Coach with private clients.

 

 

SIMONE NAZZAL, COLLEGE COACH

Simone is currently a graduate student at U.C Davis earning her teaching credential to teach high school English.  Over the last few years, she has helped many students develop and write their college admissions personal statement essays.  In addition,Simone works with our students for  SAT/ACT Test prep and help develop a realistic study plan that fits into their busy high school schedules.  As a recent college graduate and now a graduate student, she understands the complex and challenging admissions process and will partner with your child to ease the stress during this process.

Sunny holds a Masters in Educational Counseling and has over 10 years of experience as a counselor for high school and community college.   This diverse background in counseling provides Sunny with the insight into teenagers in various capacities to build rapport and relationships.  He believes strongly that each student has potential to succeed and with guidance he can help them achieve their dreams.  As a current high school academic counselor, Sunny is able to help students daily towards their academic goals.  With his experience and background, Sunny helps his clients navigate the complicated college landscape, admissions and financial aid process.

 

 

Fay Saechao, COLLEGE COACH

Fay holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Davis. Over the last 10 years, she has mentored many students in middle school and high school, including students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those who have faced or are currently facing unexpected challenges in life. She understands how to overcome unexpected challenges as she has faced many in her young life. She is passionate about helping students to reach their greatest potential. As someone who has had to navigate the complex college application process not too long ago, she understands how complex and stressful the process can be for students and their families. She is excited to partner with your child to prepare for college and beyond.
